V21 Artspace uses high-fidelity 3D scanning and multimedia technologies to capture a real exhibition, gallery, museum or heritage space as an interactive digital twin. The result preserves the spatial experience online and supports accessibility, archiving, audience development and engagement.
- •A Virtual Tour extends an exhibition's public value beyond the limited duration of a physical display, creating a lasting digital legacy that supports access, learning and inclusion.
- •When a live exhibition has closed, audiences can continue to engage with the work, revisit the experience at their own pace, and share it with others who may not have been able to visit in person.
- •The intention is not to replace the physical encounter or the material qualities of the artworks, but to provide a meaningful continuum through contemporary forms of documentation.
- •For audiences who face physical, sensory or geographical barriers, virtual tours offer independent and flexible engagement, while for the gallery they provide a durable record of curatorial practice, spatial design and artistic context, and significantly extend reach and impact.
- •As accessibility and audience development become increasingly central to arts and cultural organisations, online access to virtual exhibitions supports inclusive participation and aligns with funder priorities around equity, digital innovation and long-term public value.
Selected Projects
Digital twins for exhibitions, studios and cultural spaces
Virtual tours are not limited to exhibitions. They can document artist studios, public programmes, heritage settings and cultural spaces where spatial context is part of the story. Each scan becomes a navigable record for access, research, learning and long-term cultural memory.
