AN Oxford artist has won a national art competition, with his work set to be showcased at a virtual exhibition.

Jack Cowley from Oxford is one of conservation charity WWF’s 12 winners of its first national environmental art competition called Just Imagine.

WWF called on creatives to reimagine a greener, thriving future where nature is at the heart of decisions, and encouraged a diverse range of artists, mediums and voices to take part.

Over 600 submissions were reviewed by judges and Mr Cowley stood out with his entry called ‘Ark of the Future’.

The winning entries will be showcased at a virtual exhibition on Thursday, curated by Andrea van den Hoek Mejias and hosted by V21 Artspace.

It starts at 6pm and can be viewed by going to wwf.org.uk/just-imagine.
